The Office of Policy and Management announces that the examinations for Revaluation Personnel Certification will be held on March 11, 2009. The examinations for Land/Residential, Commercial/Industrial, Personal Property, and Supervisor will be offered.

Time and Place
The examinations will be held at the Office of Policy and Management (OPM), 450 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, Connecticut. Upon arrival at OPM, examinees must sign in with the security guard and be issued a visitor's pass. Once the pass is obtained, take the elevator to the basement level, proceed straight ahead through the tunnel and follow the signs for Conference Room C which is located next to the cafeteria just past the ATM machine. The morning examination will begin at 8:30 AM and the afternoon session examination will start at 1:00 PM. Each examination session will be three hours in length. All four examinations will be offered at both the morning and afternoon sessions. Please note that applicants are allowed to complete only one examination per session.
Requirements
Admission to the examination will be allowed only if the applicant meets all the minimum experience requirements cited in the Certified Connecticut Revaluation Employees Guidebook. (See Guidebook under the heading Document Specifications below to download this document.)
Applications
Each applicant must complete and return an application form to the Office of Policy and Management postmarked no later than March 2, 2009. Mail application to the Office of Policy and Management, Intergovernmental Policy Division, 450 Capitol Avenue-MS#54FOR, Hartford Connecticut 06106-1379, Attention : Frank Intino.
Examination
Persons taking the examination(s) will be required to produce photo identification prior to being admitted to the examination(s). A valid current driver’s license is the recommended form of identification. Also, silent, battery-operated calculators are allowed to be used during the examination. Cell phones may not be brought into the examination.
Waiver of Examination Requirements
Application to waive the examination requirements, as set forth in Section 12-2b-10 of the regulations, must be made to the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management. The Waiver Application is available.
Parking
Parking is available in designated parking lots. Please allow additional time to park and take the shuttle bus from the parking lot to 450 Capitol Avenue. Directions to examination location are available.
